Boot Camp

Our Boot Camp service is a short stint of residential training which is training intensive for your dog.

Set over the course of 3-5 days, your dog will be intensively trained in one specific area or behaviour. We currently provide Boot Camps for the following;

Recall
Loose Leash Walking
Settling
Neutrality/Reactivity

Your dog will stay with us during this time period to ensure that we are able to teach your dog the behaviour, but also go beyond that and proof the behaviour. This means that your dog will perform the behaviour anywhere and with distractions.

What types of Boot Camp are there?

Recall Boot Camp

The Recall Boot Camp is focusing entirely on ensuring that your dog comes when you call. Whether you are recalling from another dog, a potential danger such as a road, or even recalling from chasing a bird - this Boot Camp is for you.

Settling Boot Camp

The settling Boot Camp is focused around teaching your dog to settle down. Perhaps they struggle to settle at home as they are a high energy breed, or maybe you want them to settle at the pub when its very distracting. This Boot Camp will work exclusively on teaching your dog to settle down and relax.

Loose Leash Boot Camp

Do your arms and shoulders hurt from constant lead tugging? Perhaps your dog is too large and you are finding it hard to control them whilst on walks and this has caused you to become really frustrated and want to avoid walking altogether. This Boot Camp focuses entirely on ensuring your dog achieving loose leash walking.

Neutrality/Reactivity Boot Camp

The neutrality/reactivity Boot Camp is focusing entirely on creating neutrality around other distractions such as dogs. Perhaps your dog is hyperactive around other dogs and loses focus, or even becomes over stimulated by certain environments - this Boot Camp is for you.

How does Boot Camp differ to Residential Training?

Time

Our Boot Camps are shorter in length than traditional residential stays. Boot Camp can be between 3-5 days, whereas residential training tends to be across a longer time frame.

Focus

Our Boot Camps focus purely on one area or behaviour and working this intensively. Residential training works on a variety of areas, not just one.
